Sunday 29 Janurary
It's late in the evening but I promised, so here it is, the first images for Puppy Love. This is our 2012 Valentine workshop. The workshop will be held at Tin Soldiers on 11 and 12 February, and in Randburg at Elaine's studio on 24 March. We are open for bookings!
The puppy is made from mohair, about 28cm tall, and will have lots of painted detail, coming tomorrow! At the moment it looks like a little ghost.
Here I used the same pattern and miniaturised and adapted it to make a pug. It is not part of the workshop, but I will be showing you how to create many dog breeds from the basic pattern.
Puppy Love wears a romper. I have hand painted the fabric to get the exact design I want. This is part of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to paint your own fabric in class. There are more accessories, I will have pictures of that soon.
The Calendar of Events has been updated. Workshops for 2012 are listed. We will be adding more as the year progresses.
You can also download a list of dates and marked calendars for Sew-Along morning and evening classes. If you regularly attend class, you will receive a printed calendar when I see you this week.
Back by popular demand. The mixed media Christmas ornament set. Using 3cm wooden alphabet blocks as a base, we work with felt, calico, polymer clay, paint and paper, wire, beads and more materials to create personalized ornaments.
Workshop dates: Saturday 14 April. All day 9 till 4, lunch and all materials included. R 350 per person. Very limited space available.
More exciting news! This year I am blogging! From now on you will only see completed works on this page. Work in progress can be found at Megan's Tiny Treasures.
